No one should ever live in fear. It’s time to end hatred and celebrate Pride.

In Canada, and abroad, LGBTQ+ communities continue to experience violence, discrimination, and stigma. Despite improvements in Canada, LGBTQ+ youth are still three times more likely to attempt suicide than their non-LGBTQ+ peers and 20 per cent of trans people have been assaulted in Ontario alone.1,2 Meanwhile, in some parts of the world LGBTQ+ are at risk of state-sanctioned violence and persecution because homosexuality is criminalized.

Creating safe spaces

To drive positive change, we must all do our part to end discrimination and celebrate LGBTQ+ pride.

Leading the way are charities across Canada delivering critical programs including advocacy work, support groups, community centres, shelters and housing programs, and counselling. Plus, many charities are celebrating and making more inclusive spaces through art, theatre, festivals, and more.

These programs and services ensure queer communities continue to thrive and advance. Help make sure Queer Communities continue to have access to these beneficial programs.

Support marginalized LGBTQ+ communities

Rise up against hatred and donate to the LGBTQ+ Pride Fund today. Your gift will support many programs that will change – and in some cases save – the lives of many LGBTQ+ folks. Together, we can end stigma and create spaces filled with acceptance and pride.

The LGTBQ+ Pride Fund includes more than 60 registered charities supporting LGBTQ+ people in Canada and abroad.

The charities in this Fund are selected through an algorithmic approach, taking the charity’s area of focus, mission, and description into account. To see the latest list of charities included in this Fund, you can view the list here.
