Help provide critical services to strengthen communities deeply affected by COVID-19
The pandemic is still far from over. Vulnerable communities continue to be disproportionately impacted by the economic and social impacts of the virus. Unemployment, homelessness, mental health issues, food insecurity, domestic violence, and more are just some of the issues worsened by the pandemic.
Given this reality, there is a higher demand for essential services provided by charities. Crisis lines for mental health issues and domestic violence are reporting an increase in calls. Programs that support refugees, isolated seniors, and children are at maximum capacity. There is also an increase in people experiencing homelessness, and needing access to emergency food, housing, and additional urgent needs. With funding drastically declining, people are being turned away due to lack of resources and many services are on the brink of permanently shutting down.
Joining forces to support the vulnerable
Recognizing the immediate and long-term effects of COVID-19, Canadians are joining forces to ensure those in need receive lifesaving support. With additional funding, people won’t have to worry about being turned away as charities on the frontlines can continue providing critical services. This includes access to food banks, housing programs, mental health services, crisis intervention, and other urgent needs.
Keep lifesaving programs running
It may feel impossible to make a change during a global crisis. But with your donation, you can keep lifesaving programs up and running.
Your gift will help charities meet the unique needs of our vulnerable communities during the pandemic and beyond.
