On February 24th, 2022 a devastating attack was unleashed on Ukraine. A year later, the largest attack on a European state since World War II continues. Since the start of the conflict:

• • • • An estimated 130,000+ Ukrainian soldiers have been killed or injured.
      • Roughly 10,000+ civilians have died, including 560+ innocent children.
      • 1 in 4 Ukrainians are expected to experience anxiety or extreme stress due to the violence.
      • More than 220,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Canada so far, a small segment of the 1,189,320 refugees who have applied for refugee status in Canada.

As we witness the atrocities inflicted, we cannot stay silent.

Even if we’re not on the frontlines of the war, we all can play a role to support Ukraine. A year in, the situation has evolved as millions of Ukrainian refugees have scattered across Europe after fleeing the country, relentless attacks continue, and missiles have taken aim at the country’s energy infrastructure which has caused millions to lose power. You can help support ongoing relief efforts providing basic necessities such as food, water, medical care, and shelter in Ukraine, especially as the cold winter worsens conditions. It’s time to unite and ensure Ukrainians receive the help they need.
